Pretty dangerous when you working a car accident on the highway and everything shuts down ( emergency lights) and your blocking the road way.Flip the switch on the shifter about 50 times, is a temp fix. To fix permanently, replace the shifter switch and add the jumper cable. GM pays the Dealer 0.3 hr for the repair if under warranty. Definitely if under warranty let the Dealer do it.
